Sports Massage
Sports massage uses a variety of massage techniques including deep Swedish, deep friction, passive and active range of motion, trigger point therapy, myofascial release and cupping; designed to approach a specific area. The main purpose is to expand freedom of movement and decrease pain.
Deep Tissue Massage
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. Amount of pressure applied varies from person to person.

A note from Amber:
Massage therapy is an excellent compliment to physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, as well as Eastern and Western medicine. It's not, however, a one and done cure for pain. This is something to consider when looking for pain relief treatments. Multiple visits, often in a series that tapers as the client progresses, will produce the best outcome. The therapist's effectiveness will increase the more chances he or she has to familiarize with how your muscles respond to treatments.
